Xarxa FP is a European non-profit association created in 1999 gathering 26 cities from 11 countries working together on VET mobility and innovation.
Xarxa FP was founded in 1999 by the City of Barcelona who proposed the creation of a network of cities with the purpose of promoting a sustainable infrastructure among local administrations, companies and Vocational and Education Training (VET) centres in order to develop common mobility strategies for professional training in close cooperation with the city’s productive sectors.
Today we bring together 26 different European cities across 11 countries committed with VET: Alcoi (ES), Antwerpen (BE), Barcelona (ES), Berlin (DE), Breda (NL), Brussels (BE), Gandia (ES), Hamburg (DE), Kokkola (FI), Kuopio (FI), Lisbon (PT), Lyon (FI), Madrid (ES), Mislata (ES), Munich (DE), Oulu (FI), Reus (ES), Roma (IT), Rovaniemi (FI), Sète (FR), Tartu (EE), Toulouse (FR), Ventspils (LV), Viborg (DK), Westerburg (DE), Zwolle (NL).
Xarxa FP arranges work placements for VET students and trainings for VET teachers in European cities members of the network. Every year around 300 young European students and hundreds of VET teachers participate in mobility training actions.
Our Strategic Plan 2016-2020 sets out three main priorities to be developed in the upcoming years in order to become a reference organisation within the area of European VET mobility and innovation in line with the EU’s strategic priorities:
- Improve the quality and quantity of VET MOBILITY
- Stimulate and promote VET INNOVATION
- Contribute to the design of EU VET POLICIES
