Last 13th of June, we held the closing act of the Basic VET Project: Internships in Europe at Barcelona City Council.
The aim of the project was to improve the employability and to avoid the disassociation of the educational system of young Basic VET students. It included a 3 group mobility of 15 days, for a total of 32 participants, in the cities of Munich (Germany), Lisbon (Portugal), and Toulouse (France). A total of 13 VET Schools across Spain become part of the project.
The project encouraged the participation of young people with fewer opportunities, with social, educational and cultural obstacles that hinder their access to the labour market.
During the closing act, Pau Gonzàlez – Barcelona´s Educational Councillor, María Jesús Cervero – Xarxa FP President and Maria Gomez – Head Unit at VET Erasmus+ & Europass Spanish National Agency, welcomed the act and handed the certificates to all the participants. Moreover, two of the participants share their experiences during the mobilities highlighting how those mobilities have positively affected their development and has strengthened their soft and professional skills.
