Between the 22nd and 28th of March 2015, a delegation of 22 participants of Xarxa FP cities in Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Reus, Gandia, Mislata and Alcoi) visited the city of Viborg (full member of the association since February 2015) and Copenhagen, as part of the first flow of the Educating Professionals on European VET Systems (EDOROFS) Erasmus + project, comprised within the key action aimed at mobility of VET professionals and staff from VET centres and other education agents of the Spanish city members of Xarxa FP.
The objective of the project aimed at both principals and professionals was to get to know and understand the Danish general education system, the Danish Dual system, education policies and programmes, and different ways of working, teaching and managing VET schools, orientation and life-long training, as well as other successful strategies undertaken in Denmark when implementing VET studies for a proper transition to the labour market.
The delegation was kindly hosted by Mercantec, partner organization of Xarxa FP, and experienced a full-time program visiting VET schools (Mercantec Business College and House of Technology Viborg and Technical Education College (TEC) in Copenhagen), The Animation Workshop; education authorities at Viborg Town Hall; large companies such as Grundfos in Bjerringbro (a global leader company in advanced pump solutions) and Praxis in Copenhagen; the Danish Technological Institute & Robot Technology; the Danish Metalworkers’ Union (Dansk Metal) and the UU Youth Career Guidance Centre of Copenhagen.
The second flow of the EDPROFS project will take place in The Netherlands by next June of 2015.
