Our member OMNIA, the main VET provider in Espoo (Finland), has been included as an innovative multisector education centre at the European Commission report on Mapping of Centres of Vocational Excellence.

The report delineates Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) in terms of their main characteristics, with a view to informing the concept and the development of EU support plans. This report presents the findings of this mapping exercise.

In this sense the European Commission has just launched an Erasmus+ KA3 VET Call for Proposals on ‘Centres of Vocational Excellence’ (Call EACEA/33/2019).

The overall objective of this Call is to support the establishment and development of transnational cooperation platforms of Centres of Vocational Excellence to connect Centres operating in a given local context at European level. The proposals funded under this Call should create world-class reference points for vocational training. The Call is open to partnerships of VET providers, companies, industry or sector representative organisations, and any other relevant organisations in the field of vocational education and training or in the world of work.

All details about the Call and the application process, as well as the link for submitting applications are available here: https://eacea.ec.europa.eu/erasmus-plus/funding/ka3-centers-of-vocational-excellence_en.
