WORK-BASED LEARNING EXPERIENCES ACROSS EUROPE
VET Mobility
Every year Xarxa FP arranges about 800 mobility actions including internships for VET students and training for VET teachers in European cities members of the network. The funding for VET Mobility actions comes mostly from the Erasmus + Programme.
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS AT THE EUROPEAN LEVEL
VET Innovation
Xarxa FP explores the opportunities that the internationalisation of VET offers in terms of innovation and exchange of knowledge and good practices. We work on 4 transnational projects: Industrial VET Hub, Port VET Hub, PE-LE and Logistics VET Hub.
CONTRIBUTING TO THE EU EDUCATION MOBILITY POLICIES
VET Policy
Xarxa FP, as the only existing European network of cities working on VET mobility and innovation, contributes with its expertise in key European policy dialogue events and consultations in the VET field. In particular, we are members of the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA) and partners with the Cities4Apprenticeships network.

Between the 25th and the 29th of June a delegation of 40 teachers and Head of Studies from Alcoi, Barcelona, Gandia, Madrid, Mislata, Reus and Skelleftea participated in a weekly study visit in Berlin to learn about the German Vocational Education and Training Dual System, as part of the Erasmus+ “ATELIEURS” staff mobility project organised by Xarxa FP. Last 23rd of May the city of Alcoi (Spain) organised the IV Erasmus+ infoday to encourage students from Vocational Education and Training to take part in European mobility actions. During the event different students explained their experiences abroad in other Xarxa FP cities. Alcoi VET centres also presented the different European mobility and innovation

Antwerp, Barcelona, Lisbon, Munich and Rome have launched a Youth Guarantee project that will offer language training and a two-month internships for 19 VET unemployed graduates from the city of Barcelona. Xarxa FP held its XIX General Assembly last 15th of February in Zwolle (The Netherlands), gathering more than 40 representatives from 24 European cities. During the General Assembly (GA) participants reviewed the results of the network in 2017, discussed new actions and projects for 2018 and welcomed four new cities: Constanta (Romania), Granada (Spain), Palermo (Italy)

On 24th of January a delegation of Xarxa FP headed by its Secretary General, Mr Jordi Castillo, visited Granada in order to assess its candidature to become a member of the network in 2018. In 2018, the Commission will make comprehensive proposals for the next generation of financial programmes for the post-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), which is the EU’s long–term budget.
