The 1st edition of Xarxa FP Mobility Impact Study will be launched next 15th of February in Barcelona.

The aim of this study is to analyse the effects of mobility on the employability, career prospects and competences of Xarxa FP students that did an internship abroad between 2012 and 2015.

There are already several international studies proving the great added value that learning and studying in another country has for young people to develop their skills, improve their career chances and enhance European citizenship. However, these studies are mostly based in the experience, opinion and view of higher education students, as they are the wider group of students taking part in European mobility programmes (i.e. Erasmus+). The uniqueness of this study is that focus only on Vocational Education and Training students, and particularly, those studying Initial courses, as this is the target group of Xarxa FP network.

The event will take place at Palau Macaya of Barcelona from 10:00 to 12:00 and will count with the participation of Mr. Miquel Àngel Essomba, Education Commissioner of Barcelona. Moreover, Mr Guy Tchibozo, Project Manager at CEDEFOP, will present Initial Vocational Education and Training (IVET) Mobility Scoreboard, which provides for the first time detailed country information on the conditions for IVET learner mobility in Europe: analysing weaknesses and shortcomings; identifying good practices; and suggesting reforms.

The event will be attended by representatives from Xarxa FP cities, as it takes place the day after the annual General Assembly of our Association.
