In October, students from Madrid and Barcelona took part in the Basic VET Project: Internships in Europe, an enriching experience that allowed students from diverse sectors—such as electricity, electronics, and plumbing—to spend 10 days in Toulouse, completing internship programs in BTP CFA Occitanie.
Throughout the stay, participants engaged in a full and intensive internship program, complemented by cultural activities that broadened their horizons. One of the key takeaways was learning how to work in an international setting, while immersing themselves in new languages and cultures.
The experience posed challenges, particularly in adapting to new realities and taking on new responsibilities. Moreover, co-living with other participants in shared accommodations added an additional layer of personal growth.
As an added value, the students developed greater economic independence, a sense of solidarity, and a deeper cultural awareness. This international exposure not only enriched their vocational skills but also prepared them for a more globalized world.
